Information about the Actual "Monster Mountain Motocross Track":
{actual article from Team Green News, Issue #3, 2000 (pp. 24)}

Nestled in the lush green hills of Alabama near the small but dynamic town of Tallassee,
lies the Southeast's newest motocross track, Monster Mountain. Located on 106 acres of
beautiful natural rolling terrain, this super racing venue is already becoming well known
throughout the eastern half of the country. Riders from as far north as Connecticut and as
far west as Texas and Washington state have visited the Grand Prix-style track. Many who
have visited have compared the track layout to that of Unadilla. As these visiting riders
return home to spread the word about the great time they had, the track has become more
and more popular.

From the grandstand area the view of the track is spectacular. The layout is pure Grand Prix
style and includes a five step ascent to the mountain top as well as many ski-type jumps and
off camber turns. Lap times for the fastest Pro riders exceed two and one half minutes which
means the Amateur motos last nearly fifteen minutes while the Pros run twenty minutes plus two laps.
The long motos, coupled with ample practice time, is one reason the popularity of Monster Mountain
has grown rapidly. The bulk of the Amateur classes race on Saturday, and the Pros, Vets and a few
select support classes are run on Sunday. This format had proven to be very popular with not only
the riders, but spectators as well.

The track was originally built by Greg Cole of Southern Dirt Designs with the help of former
National Champion, Mark Barnett. The staff's experience is obvious in the preparation and
running of the event and their concern for the riders and spectators enjoyment is evident.
The track is owned by the Blackwell family of nearby Montgomery and is maintained by Greg Cole.

Kip's Virtual Monster Mountain Track Information MCM2:

My son and I have been racing at raced Monster Mountain since their inaugural event, held in
February 2000, which saw a crowd of over 4,000 spectators attending the two-day event. We
wanted this track to be replicated as close as possible while still challenging the game
enthusiast of MCM2. Monster Mountain, we believe is just that, fun and exciting while
challenging to all level racers of this excellent game. Monster Mountain offers Wide-Open
racing with many lines to choose from, we tried to recreate that in the game, and in most
areas we believe we have.

We've been developing this track since October of 2000, long before the contest was ever mentioned,
or at least we head about it. We've duplicated this track for everyone to see and enjoy Alabama's First
Ever National Style Motocross Track. From the Center Field Start Gate to the Monster Mountain Finish
line jump this track is a true replica down to the huge 93 foot 911 triple. We hope you enjoy the
challenging area's such as Barnet Blvd (also known as Spectator Row), Cole's Corner and the ever
difficult Stairway to Heaven which takes a really fast Pro Racer to Quad the entire section.

Thanks to Motocross Madness 2 .com for hosting this contest and thanks to Rainbow for providing
the motocross enthusiast of the world with a great game. We only hope that all the bugs can
eventually be corrected and maybe even a MCM3 for 2002

Enjoy,

RKip / Kip66

Note: Kip and I wanted to make the start a little more challenging....so be careful, cause if
your not, you could get hung-up in the gate and even crash. Simply wheelie over the start
and your on your way!

Special Thanks: (words from my Son)

We just want to thank all of Twisted Dirt for helping us become better track creators! All Pop and I did was try and
duplicate our favorite track in real life. The white Kip's Kreations banner is our REAL BANNER. We hang it in front
of our canopy.

To Jeff, We can't thank you enough man, you created that great program (MOA soon to be release so watch for it at TD)
and helped me on the phone a few times. We wouldn't have finished it without you the mulitiple custom objects were just
to complicated with out the program.

To Mr. Bruce, without your GEN slt, We'd be back in Plainsville. Thanks a lot for all your hard work anad time on this.

To Fraser, the detailed pits with the truck, and bikes is using your objects, all we did was change some plastic/graphics
on the bikes and trucks. The feel of the start wouldn't have been the same without the gate...You're the Man!

To Jesse, Thanks for the tent, and signs.

To Kent for being the GBest Tester a Team could have.

To Scott for being a Great guy and providing TD a Home.

Again, thanks to everyone at TD, and a special thanks to everyone we've listed. The track would not have been
as good without you guys.
